Jake is the foundation of what is VISTA. Barbara K(Kathy)Smith gave me Jake when he was 7 months old and weighed about 1and a half pounds of show dog.No one could tell him any different.He was a show dog from day one when we were playing with him at the park for the first time and I told Kathy OH MY GOD I want this baby he is soooo cute I just love him.That night she called me and asked if I was really interested in the little white boy? I said YES and drove over as fast as I could before she could change her mind.That was in Feb.of 2001 the first weekend in March I entered Jake at the Chihuahua club of Greater Phx specialty for fun he was 7 months old and than weighed 2.4 lbs and( still a dweeb) the judge was Carolyn Hamilton and she awarded him WD for 3 pts and Best Puppy( OMG)what a way to start the next day at the all-breed he took 2nd in his class BUT the next day he took BOV over 6 special 2 that were BOB winners at the CCA National and the BOB winner of the CCGP specialty 2 days before.3 shows 8 pts both majors (oh my)Jake finished his Championship on July 1st 3 days before his 1st B-day by going BOW/BOS over #1 dog special in the country.Jake is now CH BK's AKA Elwood of Vista ROM He has 13 Champion get to his name With more to finish,he fished his show career with 7 group placements and was in the top 20 for 5 years,he also was Best Stud dog at the CCGP spring rotating National2009 and Best Smooth Veteran in show just shy of his 9th birthday.
Jake has had many of his children follow in his winning ways(alot surpassing him)
